Plus-Size Summer Outfits That Are Chic and Cool

Okay, I’ll admit it—I get so excited when summer hits. But honestly, it can also be a little stressful trying to stay cool and look stylish. I’ve definitely had those “ugh, nothing fits right” mornings. But trust me, plus-size dressing in summer doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. You can totally stay comfy, chic, and feel confident.

Here’s what I’ve been loving for summer 2025:

Plus-Size Summer Outfits That Are Chic and Cool

1. Flowy Maxi Dresses

I live for maxi dresses in summer. They’re breezy, they skim your body in all the right ways, and honestly, I feel like I look effortlessly put together. Last weekend, I wore a floral maxi with a slit and it was perfect for brunch in the sun. Comfy, chic, and I didn’t overthink it.

2. High-Waist Shorts + Light Tops

High-waist shorts are a lifesaver. I pair mine with light, flowy blouses or even tank tops. It defines the waist without feeling tight or uncomfortable. I threw this combo on for a city walk recently, added some sandals, and felt so put-together without trying too hard.

3. Linen Jumpsuits

One-piece wonder alert! Linen jumpsuits are breathable, soft, and super easy to style. I got a neutral one a few weeks ago, and honestly, it’s become my “I want to look cute but chill” outfit for literally any summer day.

4. Wrap Dresses

Wrap dresses are kind of magical. They highlight the waist, flatter curves, and just make you feel feminine without being fussy. I wore a pastel wrap dress to a casual get-together, and it was comfortable and stylish. Total win.

5. Skirts + Graphic Tees

This is one of my favorite casual combos. Midi skirts with a fun tee—tucked a little or knotted—make the outfit playful but relaxed. I wore this to grab coffee with friends and felt like I’d put in effort without overthinking it.

6. Chic Sandals or Sneakers

Shoes can make or break a summer outfit. I’ve been rotating between strappy sandals, espadrilles, and minimal white sneakers. They’re comfortable but also elevate even the simplest look. Personally, the nude sandals are my go-to for literally everything.

Quick Tip

Fabric matters—cotton, linen, and chambray breathe and drape beautifully. Don’t shy away from bright colors or fun prints either—they can totally lift your mood and your outfit.

✨ Honestly, my summer uniform this year is either a flowy maxi dress or a linen jumpsuit, paired with comfy sandals and oversized sunnies. It’s comfy, chic, and perfect for long summer days.
